Algebra and geometry are the main branches of math taught in this class, followed by statistics and functions.  Unbeknownst to some students, math is used in their daily lives and in this class, they discover where and how math exists, from patterns and sequences to estimations and more.  The beauty of math is that the more you learn, the more you discover its connections to the world.  Moreover, students acquire more logical ways of thinking and approaching problems.  Students have said that even though math is hard, the learning process in this class is interesting.  I agree with them, even when I was a student, I found some new concepts hard to grasp at first, but with perseverance, I was able to overcome the obstacles.  I believe all my students are capable of doing so.  Yard by yard, math is hard.  Inch by inch, math’s a cinch, so come on and let’s learn together!
