La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, visited our school!

The program aimed to promote cooperation between Japanese and Australian junior and senior high schools.

The 2nd Grade AG class took a special class. The timing was good as they are currently dealing with atoms in their science class. The students were excited to experience remote experiments and university-level lectures that they would not normally have the chance to experience.

~The comment from a student~

I learned what radiation is and how we use it. For example, radiation helps patients to make better of their cancer. Additionally, I learned that thick aluminum and lead blocks the radiation more than plastic and thin aluminum. I would like to learn how big the radioactivity could occur. Besides, I have some interest in making the space (moon) able to be lived on by humans.
